Sakiori Silk Bear
Sticking to warp threads
Nomura-cho, Seiyo City, Ehime Prefecture is one of the leading producers of raw silk in Japan.
Silk thread from Nomura is dyed with plants on the Sadamisaki Peninsula and used for warp threads.
Since 117 threads are combined for each thread, it is a very durable warp thread even if it is thin.
It features a moist and elegant luster.
Sticking to weft threads
Cut a silk kimono such as a sunny kimono or Oshima into pieces as thin as 5mm.
(If the material does not tear, cut it into small pieces with a blade.)
It takes time, but by preparing finely, the woven fabric will be finely tuned, and the finish of the details will be different.
Collaboration with Ricky's Bear
"Rickies Bear", a teddy bear maker with an atelier in Ikata-cho
The individuality and facial expressions of the cloth are read and sewn one by one by hand.
The expression of a bear with a slightly baby face has a lovely look.
